How Many Bedding Sets Do I Need?

Having the right number of beddings sets seems somewhat like a mystery, but in the long run, having enough sheets, covers, and all related fabric and textiles can save you in the long run. Taking this into consideration, keep in mind to have at least one storage space available for your beddings sets, since you will have to store them somewhere.

On average and based on user experience, the sweet spot would be having 3 bedding sets, but for bigger-sized beds, you might consider having less bedding sets, since they can take a lot of room and space in your storage.

So how many bedding sets do I need if I have a larger bed, and what is considered a “larger” bed? Right now, we will put an answer to those questions and determine how much stuff do you need and provide stress-free sleep!

Get The Right Storage

If you do not have the appropriate storage for your beddings sets, towels, blankets and bedsheets, then probably you will end up cluttering your wardrobe and storing these big pieces of textile and fabric at the end of your wardrobe closets. Having this in mind, it would be a great idea to buy a separate unit for your bedding sets and other bed-related products and having another storage for your bathroom accessories, towels, etc. In total, an ideal number of storages would be 2.

Bathroom storages are mostly universal and it will work for most people, to have all those various towels rolled up, but having appropriate storage for beddings is different. Simply put, if you have a house with large beds or multiple beds, then having a larger storage space in your house or apartment for bedding sets and other products seems more useful and practical.

How Many Sheets Do I Need?

This solely depends on how big of a household you have and if you often have guests in your home. Also, it is important to keep in mind that you will need extra pairs of sheets if you have kids, especially with babies.

Based on our research, most people use 3 pairs of sheets per bed. Usually, this relates to small-medium sized beds. Having too many sheets will surely clutter your home, but oftentimes, they will be also left untouched and there will be no use for them. 10 pairs of sheets might sound great in terms of “playing it safe”, but in the long run, it will just make a mess and take precious space.

When we talk about large-sized beds(Queen size, King size, etc), then having 2 pairs of sheets sounds right. Bigger beds take more space and require more fabric and material to cover it, which means taking more space in your storage. If you do not wish to have a lot of sheets in your storage then it is a good idea to be aware of what days you wash your sheets.

Sheets can be made from different materials, so keep in mind that having thicker sheets, like flannel sheets in winter is a better choice for keeping you warm, than having thin-layered sheets.
